Amit Chaudhery


A communications and public relations professional, Amit has worked extensively in public diplomacy and corporate reputation management. He has held leadership and senior management positions at the country CXO and CEO level in prominent Indian and international corporations.

Previous in-house roles include Text 100 India Group, Motorola Inc, Max India Limited, Amway India Enterprises, and ITC Limited (The Tobacco Institute of India). Amit has worked across advertising, journalism (broadcast and print), corporate communications, corporate affairs, PR, marketing communications and publishing since late 1989. He has also functioned as a columnist, radio broadcaster, television producer, correspondent, and actor for New Delhi Television (NDTV), Plus Channel (India) Limited, Voice of America, Los Angeles Times and the Observer group.

A regular speaker and panelist in India and the Asia-Pacific, Amit is a member of the Reputation Institute, U.S.A.; International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), U.S.A.; International Public Relations Association, U.K.(by invitation); and the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (by invitation).

An avid folk and alternative historian/chronicler, Amit is keenly associated with environmental and animal rights issues and is a Government of India nominee on institutional animal ethics committees for the ministries of Environment & Forests, Defense, Health, Science & Technology. He also serves as President, People For Animals, India’s largest animal rights and welfare NGO.

Amit attended Modern School, New Delhi and read History at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He holds a master’s in Public Administration from the Punjab University, Chandigarh; and a diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism, London. He is based at New Delhi-NCR (mostly).
