Judy Rivera

If growing up on her family’s wheat farm taught Judy Rivera one lesson, it’s that you work until a job is done, and done right. Decades later, that same commitment to excellence still informs her work in the corporate arena, where she helps organizations and leaders communicate more effectively to achieve desired results.

“Effective communication is always key to driving business success,” Judy said. “I consider myself a translator. I help people reframe problems as opportunities and identify potential solutions.”

Judy joined the ROI Communication team in 2017 after two decades in senior communication roles at Hewlett-Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. At HP, she managed a wide range of projects in marketing communications, internal and employee communication, culture and engagement, sales, channel and executive communication.

In these roles, she conceived and executed communication strategies; coordinated public relations, analyst relations, internal communication and executive communication efforts; led change management communication; developed programs to re-articulate and strengthen company culture; managed marketing and advertising campaigns; produced major events; launched digital communication platforms and established metrics to gauge effectiveness.

“In a large company, you can never over-communicate,” she said. “Whether they’re divided by geography, organization, culture or role, it is important to make sure people understand the complete story and how they can help the company reach its goals.”

Judy, who is based in Southern California, earned a BA in Business Administration from Gonzaga University. When she’s not helping clients, she loves reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.
