Steven Peng

Steven is a change management and brand consultant with 17 years’ experience in brand strategy, marketing and organizational change in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In the 1990s, Steven ran the marketing for The Economist in Asia Pacific, where he developed and managed a pan-regional network of distribution agents and oversaw year-on-year circulation growth of almost 10 per cent across 26 countries. After gaining an MBA in 1999, he spent the early part of the next decade working on brand strategy and internal communications programs across a broad range of sectors and clients such as the UK’s Department of Children Schools and Families, Yahoo!, Discovery TV, ‘3’ mobile, Music Choice Europe, Walla! (Israel’s Yahoo!), Vodafone, Watsons (Asia’s Boots), Mothercare.com, Grosvenor Estates, Cushman & Wakefield, Hamptons International, Corus (now Tata Steel), Royal Bank of Scotland, and Probusiness Bank Russia.

Prior to his work in brand strategy, Steven focused on large-scale change management programs and group facilitation both in the UK and overseas (including China, Japan, HK, Malaysia and Australia). He is a qualified Myers Briggs Practitioner, a foundation-level psychotherapist and an accredited facilitator of the UK government’s Training Development Agency.

As a consultant, Steven is committed to understanding how organizations can better engage with their audiences by gaining insights into stakeholder dynamics and through the appropriate use of behavioural and attitudinal ‘levers’ that result in improved organizational performance.

Steven holds an MBA from London Business School and speaks Chinese (Cantonese) and Bahasa Malaysia.
