About Tara
Somerset County, New Jersey

When Tara Davis decides to do something, she gets it done. After losing a popular co-worker to cancer, she organized a 5k in his memory that drew more than 900 runners and raised enough money to send 1000 children with muscle disease to camp.

“I love getting people engaged and excited about a common goal,” Tara said. “I always say: when there’s a will there’s a way.” And for more than 20 years, she’s been putting that spirit of possibility to work, advising clients on a range of challenges, including employee engagement and communications, crisis communications, corporate social responsibility and marketing.

Prior to joining the ROI Communication team in 2017, Tara worked for Realogy Holdings Corporation, a global real estate company whose brands include Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA Real Estate and Sotheby’s International.

Responsible for a broad communications portfolio, she helped develop internal and franchise communication strategies, communicate change management and rebranding efforts, increase employee volunteerism and philanthropic giving, and garner positive coverage in outlets including The New York Times, Yahoo! Finance and Market Watch.

Earlier in her career, Tara spent more than a decade in senior communication roles at Wyndham Worldwide, the global hotel chain with more than 26,000 employees in 100 countries. As Global Director for Corporate Communications, she strengthened C-suite communication, implemented regular town halls, developed a global intranet, established change management processes, strengthened data security, directed corporate social responsibility efforts, managed crisis communications – including a murder – and used storytelling to celebrate employees whose customer service was exemplary.

Previously, Tara worked in the non-profit sector, the fragrance industry, finance and healthcare – all industries that gave her a richer sense of people, what motivates them, and how to engage them more effectively. Her guiding principles? “Always be honest. Always be kind.”

A graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Tara lives in northern New Jersey. When she’s not advising clients, Tara loves volunteering in her community and spending time outdoors with her family. Some favorite activities include snowboarding, mountain-biking, and walking her beagle Pietro, a retired prizewinning show dog.
