Meredith Orlando


Meredith is an avid runner who most recently completed the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon. She can help ROI’s clients get over steep challenges, too.

Meredith Orlando believes that one key to superior performance is clear, effective communication. It can inform, motivate and strengthen a team, and as a former marketing manager at PowerBar, she knows a lot about teamwork and performance.

“It’s important to make sure everyone understands their role, and why they’re important,” Meredith said. “I like to help companies do that, with the right tools and the right tone.”

Meredith, who joined the ROI team in 2010, has more than a dozen years of communication and marketing experience in diverse industries.  She launched her career in advertising, with Saatchi & Saatchi, then moved on to marketing roles in cable television and later, cosmetics.

In these roles, she analyzed consumer data and trends, designed models to determine competitive advantages and developed communications strategies and plans. Meredith also managed the marketing of consumer products through advertising, the web and print collateral. Now working in the technology industry, she finds her skills equally applicable.

“Different companies have different approaches and different tones,” she said. “I’ve learned to listen and watch carefully to pick up the differences, whether they’re obvious or subtle. This is part of what I find so fascinating about communication.”

Meredith, who earned a BS in Journalism from the University of Colorado, also earned an MBA from Georgetown University. When she’s not working, Meredith is likely to be found with her twin boys, volunteering for the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley, or baking her famous chocolate chip cookies.
