Where expert internal communication consulting meets exceptional execution.

The ROI way

Sometimes you need an agency, someone to be highly creative who can come in from the outside, pick up on your ideas, implement them and get the job done. Other times you need internal communication consulting, a partner who can see above the forest canopy, identify what’s really needed and advise you on the proper strategies and outcomes. At ROI, we offer you both. We’re part agency, part consulting firm, all rolled into one. We combine the strategic, out-of-the-box thinking of consultants with the detailed execution of an agency. It’s the best of both worlds, and it’s the key to what makes us different. It’s why 90% of clients tell us we have no peer. There’s just no one who does what we do.

Strategy first, then results. Every time.

With every project we do, we start with a strategy. Our internal communication consulting includes always defining what’s really at stake, and we envision what the best outcome should be. Then we work backward from there. That way, every project doesn’t just tick the box but delivers in a way that your organization truly benefits from.

No one loves a plan quite like we do.

If there’s one thing that defines an ROIer, it’s our insane attention to detail. We are type-A results-oriented, get-things-done people. We’re moms with a schedule. We don’t mess around. We’ll make sure your project comes in on time, on budget, with room to spare.

We leave our cookie cutters in the kitchen.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a good template. But like most things in life, communications aren’t plug and play. That’s because every company is different, and therefore every solution should be different, too. So while every project starts with a similar game plan, the process is always flexible. We’ll always tailor our solutions to fit your needs.

Our three-prong approach

Like any good story, each project has its own beginning, middle and end. But it’s in the journey where the magic happens how we approach our unique internal communication consulting framework

Process makes perfect

The Communication Strategy & Execution Process

Companies can only achieve their vision and goals if their employees are aligned, informed, and engaged. Through our Communication Strategy and Execution Process we clarify goals, identify issues and design strategies and solutions that meet—and exceed—both company and employee needs.

The Change Enablement Process

The majority of organizational change efforts fail. Why? We believe this happens when leaders neglect to recognize that organizations do not change. Rather, people do. Our unique approach to change includes customized strategies that are grounded in solid change management principles, enabling people to shift mindsets and behaviors, thereby helping companies transform their business and culture.

The Communication Ecosystem Process

Building and maintaining a strong communication ecosystem is a crucial way for companies to effectively meet the evolving needs of their business. We use the following five guiding principles to help organizations cultivate a communication ecosystem that can optimize the experience and inspire employees, leading to extraordinary results: strategies and solutions are holistic, focused on business needs, user-centered and data-driven.

Discovery

The “get to know you” phase
We want to help you achieve your goals, and to do that, we need to know your business inside and out. That way, we can identify what the real opportunities are, along with the key players and any obstacles that lie in the way. We’ll conduct interviews, meet with every stakeholder, review what’s been done already and do some independent research of our own in order to create a complete picture of your business, your audiences and your individual needs.

Strategy

The “sky’s the limit” phase
Once we’ve gotten to know you, we’ll next create a plan for how we’re going to help you achieve your objectives. This is where we put our collective minds together and devise a strategy that takes into account everything we know about your audiences, priorities and timelines. You and your team will be a key part of this phase, helping to steer our thinking and evaluate ideas so that we come up with a blueprint that aligns with everyone’s expectations.

Step 3:
Planning

The “cross every t” phase
This is where the work really builds momentum, where we map out all the different components of our plan and identify what needs to get done in order to make it a reality. Dates are set. Deliverables are agreed upon. Partner roles and responsibilities are clearly delineated. No detail is left out, and we don’t move forward until every box is checked and every requirement is accounted for.

Step 4:
Production

The “get it done” phase
Alright, now we’re ready to start producing. This is where we’ll begin to engage writers, designers, editors, technologists, illustrators and anyone else necessary to develop all the assets outlined in our plan. Whatever needs to get done, we get it done—on time and on budget. And if any course correction is needed, we’ll communicate that early and work with you to come up with a suitable alternative.

Step 5:
Analysis

The “how did it go?” phase
The post mortem. The debrief. Whatever you want to call it, this is where we’ll look back at what we did, measure how effective it was and then analyze the results based on actual data. From that analysis we’ll then come up with recommendations on what to do next, what adjustments to make and any other consideration for future iteration. We’ll also document anything that needs handing over so that your team can take things forward.
